I complain quite often about the sprawl and the necessity for cars in Atlanta. If more people took MARTA we'd have less cars and less delays yada yada
It's well known however that no one rides except for crazy people - so the normals stay away.
It's sad really because:
1) The train is reasonably quiet
2) Mostly above ground so you can chat on the phone if you need
3) The announcer doesn't sound like he or she is speaking through a distortion pedal
4) It's clean, as if never used.
I've changed my mind on the complaints about public transportation's low popularity though. I'm happy that I can get a seat on the train. Just me and the crazies.
